The Biology & Health Professions pathway begins at Collin College, where you’ll complete foundational science and health coursework while earning an Associate of Science degree. As you progress, you’ll transition to UNT coursework and continue toward a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. This pathway is designed to help you explore career options, prepare for healthcare and professional program applications, and meet prerequisite requirements for a wide range of health‑related fields. Graduates are well positioned to pursue advanced healthcare programs or begin a career rooted in the biological sciences.

Program Progression and Support

Students pursuing the Biology and Health Professions pathway progress through a structured academic framework designed to prepare them for upper‑division coursework in the College of Science. Students participating in the co‑enrollment program must meet program requirements such as completion of prerequisite coursework and GPA standards to progress through the pathway and become eligible to enroll in upper‑division science courses at UNT.

Throughout the co‑enrollment experience, students are supported by a Transfer Navigator who provides academic guidance, helps monitor progression requirements and assists students in staying on track as they move toward upper‑division coursework and degree completion.
